Cleaning streets and urban areas requires continuous improvement in the techniques and equipment we use. We strive to remain at the forefront to meet the evolving needs of cities and the new opportunities they offer to citizens.
Type and frequency of cleaning operations
Each urban area requires specific cleaning methods suited to both ordinary and exceptional situations
Below is an overview of the types of cleaning operations we carry out in your city. For each one, you will find the frequency of the operation.
Mechanical sweeping with facilitator
Frequency: Weekly on main roads and in the historic centre of Rapallo, as well as in the square surroundings of Zoagli. Fortnightly in residential areas and monthly in all other managed zones.
Manual sweeping, collection, and emptying of litter bins
Frequency: Daily in the city’s historic centre, with varying schedules in other areas. During the high season, emptying operations are increased throughout the day. In areas most frequented by dog owners, special dispensers with bags for waste collection will also be installed. The service includes emptying bins in streets, alleys, squares, and parks.
Cleaning and disinfection
Frequency: Periodic. This involves sanitising underpasses, public tunnels, and stone seating.
Cleaning of parks and green spaces
Frequency: Daily. The intervention includes collecting waste, branches and fallen leaves and emptying litter bins in green areas. The service also covers cleaning of avenues and rest areas, such as playgrounds, picnic areas, tables, and benches. Grass is removed from roads and pavements as needed.
- Cleaning of traffic island flowerbeds and roundabouts
Removal of illegal dumping on public land
Frequency: Upon report and as needed.
Cleaning of drainage grates and emptying of roadside catch basins
Frequency: As needed. This ensures rainwater can flow away easily and helps prevent flooding during heavy rainfall.
- Cleaning and washing of areas for open-air markets, fairs, and events
Collection and disposal of syringes in city parks and other high-risk areas
Frequency: Upon report and as needed.
Emergency interventions
Frequency: Upon report. Activated in the event of road accidents or natural disasters.
